My name is Edina Hodžić and I am the founder of diversfyi. Ever since I founded diversfyi in 2017 I felt the desire to contribute to more diversity in the world. The experience of motherhood in combination with several health challenges pushed me on a journey of personal transformation. On this journey I learned that diversity is an inner process and that we each hold the key to unlocking it in order to experience more authentic fulfilment, purpose and success in our life. Through this personal experience and wisdom the mission of diversfyi evolved and today we help our clients to unlock their inner diversity and to experience more authentic success in their life.
I hold a masters degree from Erasmus University and Rotterdam School of Management and have worked in consultancy and corporate business for more than 12 years in the areas of leadership development, project management and strategic change. My catalysing manifestor energy, creative expression, holistic intelligence, practical wisdom and my deep understanding of human energy patterns and psychology makes me a powerful coach, consultant and mentor to those who seek more balance, authentic success and wellbeing.
my childhood
I was born in 1981 in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina. I grew up in a safe environment enjoying nature and playing with my friends. When I was 10 years old my country Bosnia was impacted by a horrific war that left a deep scar on my soul. I witnessed an united country being torn apart by religious labels. I didn’t understand it because for me all people were the same despite the labels that they identified with. I remember asking my mother one morning during the war ‘Mom, which religion is my best friend, Sonja?’ She answered me and without even grasping the meaning of this answer I knew that my innocence was taken away. We lived in a cold basement (because of the continuous grenade showers) for some months where my imagination was replaced by thoughts about violence, shortage of food supplies, longing to play with my friends etc. When my imagination would allow me, I would write in my diary about ‘peace’. After some months my parents decided to look for ‘temporary’ refuge in another country in order to keep us safe. My aunt was living in the Netherlands at that time and welcomed us for a visit which ended up becoming our permanent residence. End of 1992 The Netherlands became our new home and we started a new chapter in our lives. This period was tough, I still remember the moments when I felt the despair of my parents being torn between the grief of their loss, the guilt about their loved ones who were left behind and worries about their future. From witnessing the pain of my parents, I unconsciously decided that I would create a successful life for myself because success would bring me safety and security which I deeply longed for. At that time, I didn’t have my own definition of ‘success’ so I followed the conditioning of my parents, teachers and the society in terms of ‘success’: higher education and hard work.
In 2004 I graduated from Erasmus University and Rotterdam School of Management and started my corporate career in Consulting with a focus on strategic transformation projects and worked for Fortune 500 Companies. I continued my corporate career in 2012 within a Global Food Company where I took a global position in Organisation Development being responsible for implementing strategic transformation programs in the areas of new ways of working, leadership development and organisational change. Within that role I trained many Business Leaders on the principles of growth and leadership. Throughout my career I visited many countries over the world and it was always during those visits that something inside me would call me and I would allow myself to dream about ‘possibilities’. Usually, when I would get back to my normal routine, those dreams would fade away. In 2014 I married and two years later a beautiful boy entered into this world.
motherhood = catalyst for my transformation
What I didn’t prepare for, is the deeply transformative experience of becoming a mother in 2016. After the birth of my son I returned to my corporate career to find myself questioning the importance of my work and if I was making any valuable impact. It was on an early 2017 on a sunny winter morning on my way to work that I suddenly experienced a deep feeling of emptiness calling me. I didn’t understand it because I had everything in my life that I wanted: a career, a loving partner, a child, financial prosperity, beautiful home, opportunity to travel, friends etc. I tried to push this feeling away but I wasn’t succeeding. It was clearly trying to tell me something. A few weeks later I boldly decided to leave my corporate career and to step into the unknown. For the first time I allowed myself to feel what my body was telling me. My body was screaming for ‘rest’, so I allowed myself some rest although I felt it wouldn’t be enough. End of 2017 I gave birth to my first entrepreneurial project: diversfyi. It wasn’t until my first client engagement that I started experiencing mental health issues, low energy levels, anxiety and feelings of supressed anger. It felt like a conflict was raging inside me.
True freedom can only be accomplished when we fully accept and embrace our truth.

It was the courage of my warrior spirit that helped me to face my inner world and to embark on a deep journey of self transformation. Without knowing where this journey would take me, I had a deep knowing that it would bring me closer to my deeper purpose in life. I came face to face with my deepest fears, shadows, (ancestral) trauma and a long list of self-limiting beliefs. I started observing my energetic patterns and I became more conscious about the areas of my life that I was living from a pattern of inauthenticity and victimhood. Both the human design method and the gene keys method served as powerful catalysts during my process of transformation.
In my work as coach and mentor I use the unique authentic energy compass ™ method combined with my authentic wisdom, spiritual intelligence and manifestor energy to activate my clients to reclaim leadership over their personal energy and their lives.
